Alba Oviedo

My name is Alba, and I was born in Asunción, Paraguay, where I studied classical ballet and traditional dance in Luque. In Paraguay, I was part of a dance troupe with which I took part in numerous performances and won many competitions. In Canada, I took ballet classes at several dance schools, notably in Montreal, Guelph (The Royal City School of Ballet), Toronto (Canada's National Ballet School), Sherbrooke, La Prairie and Montmagny. I formed a folk dance troupe in Sherbrooke, and we performed for several years at the Festival des Traditions du Monde de Sherbrooke. We were featured on the cover of La Tribune newspaper in August 2008. I also took specialization courses offered by the Réseau d'Enseignement de la Danse (RED) and have been teaching ballet in Montmagny since 2018. I've had the opportunity to work with a wide range of ballet teachers and have benefited from different techniques both as a student and as a teacher. I love watching dance performances whenever I get the chance. Ballet is my passion and I can't wait to pass it on to the next generation of dancers.

Hello! I've been a member of the Magny-Danse family for 19 years now. I've tried out several dance styles: jazz, hip hop, contemporary and belly dance. My favorite style is belly dance, which I've been practicing for 6 years now! I take part in many events and competitions with the Magny-fik Majda troupe. I'm full of energy, smiling, open-minded and organized! See you soon!

Annabelle Martin

For 15 years now, dance has been my greatest passion! I've tried hip-hop, ballet and jazz. I was also a member of Ateliers Magny-Danse for many years. I tried out several dance styles at dance camp (including charleston and oriental), but my favorite styles were always ballet and jazz. I teach ballet and hip-hop and have been an assistant teacher for the Saturday morning toddler groups. I feel extremely lucky to be part of such a talented, passionate and dedicated team of teachers. Magny-Danse was my 2nd home for many years and will always hold a special place in my heart. I'm grateful to now be able to share my passion with younger people and hope to pass on my love of dance to them, just as it was passed on to me by my former teachers.

I started out in creative dance at the age of three and then went on to jazz. At the age of 8, I started hip hop. I immediately realized that I was in the right place, because from the very first class I fell in love with it. By the age of 15, I was assisting in some classes as needed. That's also when I started competing. In December 2021, I was awarded a scholarship in recognition of my determination, perseverance, attention to detail and positive energy. In the fall of 2022, I was officially awarded four hip hop groups in the younger age group. I was also selected to be part of a pre-elite troupe at another studio. I now have the pleasure of being part of the Ateliers Magny-Danse team, and I promise to do my best to share this wonderful passion with all my heart!

Élise Morin

My name is Élise Morin. I've been a dancer at Magny-Danse for 10 years now, and this year will be my first as a teacher. I'm an organized and very creative girl, I always have lots of movement ideas in my head and sometimes take the lead in dance class to propose them. I've always attended jazz classes, which is my favorite dance style. Of course, I've tried many other styles, such as hip-hop, ballet and contemporary, which I love just as much! Around the age of 10-11, I joined the competitive "Atelier" group, which I followed until 2023. Dance is my passion and has been part of my life since I was a little girl. Magny-Danse occupies a big space in my heart and I'm really happy that the team thought of me to teach. What makes me happiest is to be able to share my passion for dance with young people and inspire them to learn in my class.
